This is a Memorandum of Argument for Leave to Appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada. Leave to Appeal was ultimately dismissed. TransCanada Pipelines, an aboriginal organization, is appealing a decision that would see the amalgamation of townships. The argument put forward by the Appellant is that First Nations need to be consulted and considered in any long term amalgamation plans that deal with traditional territories.
