Downloads
Description
Constitutional question as to whether Quebec has the legal right to separate from Canada. In this factum, the Intervener Grand Council of The Crees (Eeyou Estchee) argues that secession of Quebec from Canada is fundamentally incompatible with the existing constitutional and legal arrangements under the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement. The Intervener also argues that Canada\\'s existing fiduciary obligations toward Aboriginal peoples imposes constraints on the unilateral secession of Quebec.
